Introducing The Vertile Foundation…..

We are so thrilled to introduce you to The Vertile Foundation.  The Vertile Foundation supports 15 children in Carrefour, Haiti (right outside of Port-au-Prince).  Those 15 children live in The Vertile House where they are provided with a safe haven and access to education.  We are so happy to be providing all 15 children with uniforms!

 
More from The Vertile Foundation:

The Vertile Foundation was founded by Haitian national and Colorado resident, Rico Changeux, following the devastation of the 2010 earthquake. Named in honor of Rico's late mother, The Vertile House was built around the Changeux family home and is currently home and school for 15 children between the ages of 6 and 13, who may otherwise find themselves struggling to survive on the streets.

The Vertile House is a youth center in Carrefour, Haiti on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince. The Vertile House provides a safe home, food, clothing, education, and vocational training for our children. By emphasizing personal growth and development, we hope to provide opportunities for these children where none existed. The Vertile Foundation is committed to teaching youth in this region to break the cycle of excruciating poverty, disease and illiteracy and become empowered individuals and leaders in their community. 

We were connected with The Vertile Foundation through a dear friend of Tailored for Education(THANK YOU MARY) and could not be more excited to work with an organization doing such amazing things for the children of Haiti.  As we move forward we will be sure to share our progress!  For all of you that made this partnership possible, THANK YOU!

Nairobi Project: Complete

We are so excited that our pilot project with The Dignitas Project is complete.  All 523 uniforms have been delivered to children in Mathare Valley, Nairobi's second largest slum.

One of the best parts about receiving the project report are the pictures!  Thanks to Tiffany and Rose at The Dignitas Project for coordinating all the details and keeping us updated every step of the way!

Playset King

I have to be honest, after Baby Griffin's arrival I settled in for a quiet summer.  We had seven partnerships secured, over 4,000 uniforms in production, my business partner was on maternity leave and after telling her not to worry about TFE I decided I would let this summer be a calm one. I nailed down some designs for a possible product (now in production), made a short to-do list and figured things would rock along until Jess returned in the fall. 

Luckily, I could not have been more mistaken!  Jess and I have been on the phone almost every day agreeing to new projects, hashing out details and getting excited about all of the awesome things to come.  While I can't share all of the great news at once I am excited to introduce you to our newest partner, Playset King! A source for wood frame swing sets, bounce houses and water trampolines Playset King donates 5% of profits to TFE! 

Today we see our children presented with endless options for entertainment, many of which require batteries to operate, and more and more of which are indoor activities. We believe that outdoor activities are crucial for helping our children develop happy and healthy lifestyles! This is why Playset King strives to bring high-quality, safe, wooden swing sets, bounce houses and water trampolines to backyards all across America.

Providing children with a safe (and fun) outdoor activity while giving back to children in need, Playset King is our favorite kind of company!
